| DS3-T3 are terms often referred to interchangeably as T3 or DS3, just as the terms T1 and DS1 are used interchangeably. Technically, DS1 is the digital signal which is carried over a physical T1 line. A DS3 is a 45 mbps (megabits per second) circuit used for transmitting data packets.
